Looking out by the sea on Quayside Isle (a 20 minute bus ride from the main part of Sentosa), this was the Seafood Paella and part of the Mixed Spanish Cold Cut Platter, as part of their Christmas set festive dinner (S$88++ for 2 pax). Along with the Pan Con Tomate, Champiñones al Ajillo (butter mushrooms), Croquetas de Jamon (essentially croquettes), Tortilla Española con Chorizo (like an omelette) and a dessert of Churros with Chocolate Sauce, Sabio’s food is equally unique and fulfilling.
There was the option of adding their Signature Pork Shoulder for another S$15++, but as we weren’t that big eaters, this set was well enough for us. The churros and croquettes were our highlights (they gave us extra chocolate sauce for the churros on request), but the mushrooms and chorizo omelette were pretty good too!
The portion of the paella was quite big and the servings of seafood were pretty generous. But after all the appetisers at the beginning, it was quite tough to finish the paella. Still, a great festive dinner with a nice view – away from the bustle of the city.
