This Pad Thai (S$5) can be found at Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market. It may not stand out amidst the more well-known duck rice or yong tau foo stalls, but it is still decent thai food in the oft-crowded second storey hawker centre.
Slightly wetter than most other pad thais, the rice noodles are thinner too. The overall dish is quite light and certainly not too indulgent. The downside is the lack of variety in terms of what types of protein offered with the pad thai. Most thai food places offer chicken or even beef with their pad thais – sometimes for a higher (but reasonable) price, but Issan Thai Food only offered theirs with prawns.
