Marché: Rösti

Marché used to be a regular hangout, but it seemed like years since I’ve visited it. Their most popular dish, from the long queue, is definitely the rösti (S$7.90+). There are salmon, mushroom ragout and several types of sausages you can have with your rösti, so I chose the Snail Pork Sausage ($7.90+). (more…)

pacamara

Having moved from Thomson V Two to a more visible corner location on Upper Thomson Road, Pacamara seems to be busier and doing much better now. Although they are known for their coffee, we opted for their Truffle Fries (S$8) and Duck Confit Hash (S$19.50).

The hash below the Duck Confit is quite similar to a rosti, and the sliced duck confit did blend well with the poached eggs at the top. It seemed like a posher version of eggs benedict, with the duck confit and hash replacing the ham and bread respectively. (more…)
